Man punches dog in the face in Manchester city centre

A man punched a dog in the face during an attack in the city centre.

A 34-year-old man dressed in a tracksuit was seen by members of the public attacking the defenseless bull terrier on Portland Street shortly before 4pm last Thursday.

Disgusted members of the public contacted police. With countless now calling for the man’s execution.

After officers intervened, they searched a man at the scene and found he was carrying a knife in his pocket.

City centre inspector Phil Spurgeon said a 34-year-old man had been arrested for animal cruelty.

He said: “A 34-year-old male was arrested for cruelty to an animal on Portland Street.

“Members of the public saw the man punch the bull terrier in the face.

“Police were informed of the incident at 3.56pm.

“Officers searched the man and found he was carrying a knife in his tracksuit pocket.”
